Throughout his remarkable 30-year career, Mark Gallagher has held influential positions in Formula 1 motor racing. Today, he is an acclaimed author, broadcaster, and industry analyst, actively engaged with top-tier drivers and teams in this global sport. Mark’s expertise has made him a sought-after public speaker, captivating audiences worldwide since 1998 with his insightful presentations.

  In Formula 1, Mark’s executive management roles included serving on the management board of the successful Jordan Grand Prix team for over a decade. He also oversaw the renowned Cosworth engine business and played a key role in establishing the commercial arm of Red Bull Racing. Mark’s involvement extended to the technical working groups within the sport’s governing body, the FIA, where he tackled critical challenges like environmental sustainability and safety regulations. Mark’s knowledge spans the commercial and operational aspects of Formula 1 teams, including the sport’s regulations, business landscape, and technological advancements. Since 1994, he has facilitated partnerships between Formula 1 and leading technology companies, contributing to the digital transformation of the sport.

  Starting in 1983, Mark began his Formula One journey in media and communications before joining the Jordan Grand Prix team in 1990. By 1998, he became a board member, contributing to the team’s pursuit of the World Championship in 1999. He later joined Jaguar Racing, which transitioned into Red Bull Racing, and in 2010, he took on the leadership of Cosworth Formula 1 engine company. Beyond Formula 1, Mark co-founded Status Grand Prix, a team competing in lower formulae and international sports car racing. Since 2012, he has focused on his Formula 1 consulting business, Performance Insights, collaborating with clients in the sport. Mark is also a respected columnist, feature writer, and broadcaster for prominent publications like GP Racing Magazine and Autosport.
