Nicole Stott has explored our universe from the heights of outer space to the depths of our oceans. She has dedicated her life to sharing her spaceflight experience and the beauty of Earth with others. She believes that sharing the orbital and inner space perspectives has the power to increase everyone’s appreciation of and obligation to care for our home planet and each other. Nicole is an astronaut and artist who creatively combines the awe and wonder of her spaceflight experience with her artwork, in order to inspire everyone’s appreciation of our role as crewmates here on Spaceship Earth.

As an astronaut, Nicole discovered a passion for motivational speaking. She feels blessed to share the inspiration of her spaceflight and artistic experience in a creative, down to Earth, and inspirational way, whether you’re a corporate senior leadership team or an elementary school classroom, Nicole’s message will support the needs of your group.

A veteran NASA Astronaut with two spaceflights and 104 days living and working in space as a crew member on both the International Space Station (ISS) and the Space Shuttle. Personal highlights of her time in space include performing a spacewalk (10th woman to do so), flying the robotic arm to capture the first HTV, painting a watercolor, working with her crew mates and the ground team on science that is all about improving life on Earth, and of course the view out the window. She is also a NASA Aquanaut and was a crew member on an 18-day saturation dive mission at the Aquarius undersea laboratory. Nicole believes that the international model of peaceful and successful cooperation we have experienced in the extreme environments of space and sea hold the key to the same kind of peaceful and successful cooperation for all of humanity here on Earth. As an Artist, and now retired from NASA, Nicole combines her artwork and spaceflight experience to inspire creative thinking about solutions to our planetary challenges, to raise awareness of the surprising interplay between science and art, and to promote the amazing work being done every day in space to improve life right here on Earth. She is the founder of the Space for Art Foundation. Nicole is also an author. Her first book ’Back to Earth’, is available for pre-order and will be released Oct 12, 2021.
